This delightful story, based on an unproduced screenplay, follows a group of ne’er-do-well travelers in the post-Civil War West as they journey from New Orleans. In their struggle to find refuge from disgruntled creditors—specifically, a hardened bounty hunter—they find adventure, a home and self-respect. Robber’s Roost contains 403 pages of frontier story-telling at its best. Guyanne Booth has woven a cast of colorful characters, rich with witty dialogue, flavor, unforgettable personalities and each strong enough to rival any John Ford Western. This read should be put on screen!
